There will shortly be a planning proposal submitted to West Sussex County Council for Clay Pits in Pallingshurst Wood, Loxwood. The Parish Council has already responded to a scoping report sent to West Sussex County Council with regard to this proposal.
The owners of the site are holding a webinar for residents to receive a presentation and ask questions. The details of this are below. The webinar is set up for 5pm on Tuesday 25th August. Chichester District Council report that “£37 million in COVID-19 grants is being issued to local businesses in the Chichester District.
Local businesses will receive more than £37 million in council grant payments aimed at supporting them through the COVID-19 crisis. In the first two weeks, Chichester District Council has issued over £23 million in grants to 1,900 businesses through the Small Business Grant Scheme and the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality grant scheme launched by the Government. Through the Small Business Grant Scheme, a one-off grant of £10,000 is available to businesses currently eligible for small business rate relief, rural rate relief or tapered relief to help them meet ongoing business costs, whereas the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality grant provides a payment of either £10,000 or £25,000 to eligible businesses to help meet ongoing costs. Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group Call for Sites The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group is working on an updated and revised Neighbourhood Plan to take into account the requirement by Chichester District Councils requirement for additional housing in Loxwood published in their emerging Local Plan. Accordingly, the Steering Group is issuing a “Call for Sites”. Each new site put forward to the Steering Group will be assessed against a strict set of criteria so that the best sites are chosen for any new development. Once the site assessment has taken place, extensive consultation will take place within the Parish. The Site Proposers' nomination and information form is available to download. This meeting is to discuss the results of the hydrological surveys carried out by the Consultant Water Environment with a view to establishing the best work to be undertaken to have maximum impact for flood mitigation.
