Giant Hogweed on verges and public footpaths should be reported to West Sussex County Council 01243 642105 who have a spraying operation on going in early summer to kill this non native plant before it seeds. Plants on private land are the responsibility of land owners who can get help from the environment agency as to how to deal with this plant.0800 80 70 60.

It is quite noticeable that there are many dog owners in the village who are not picking up after their dog. Whilst other dog owners may tolerate this there are many in the village who do not own a dog and have less sympathy for the unhealthy mess that is created. Smaller children in particular are at risk from the diseases that can be spread by contact. Please can you pick up after your dog, not once in a while, but always. It will be greatly appreciated and all the village will benefit.
